How will my games get determined?

For this listing, you would offer to purchase a certain number of games and tickets from the Season Ticket Member. The actual games and tickets you would get would be determined at a later date using the the following method:

Online Draft
New partner will participate in Online Draft. Draft will be held at a time and date agreeable to the majority of partners. Draft picks will be based on the number of games each partner is purchasing. Draft Order will be set fairly giving all partners a pick in the first round and the remaining picks will be fairly determined based on the proportion of games owned by each partner. The Draft Order shall NOT unfairly benefit or harm any partner(s). All games and tickets shall be included in the draft.

    Do you have games available?
  • Sorry Helen, we just recently got a new share partner. How many games would you be looking for?

Hopefully you received my second message. We are interested in talking further
  • I wasn't totally impressed by the "contract" generation step as I just want to exchange contact information but I sent it back to you both for final approval. Hopes are at acceptance, we can exchange contact info and connect to plan the draft date/method and firm up expectations etc. There was no "comment" section, beyond accepting the offer etc. I did call our Season Ticket Rep and he said there has only been a few formal offers given via the program so no one is an expect just yet on the system. Seems they want to control the communication portion.

We are definitely interested in 1/4 (approx. 10-11 games) of the season as we have had in our previous share partner groups and are looking for a long term share partner. My husband just has a few questions: 1) Do you guys pick your tickets via a snake draft (1,2,3,4,4,3,2,1) or how do you select your tickets? 2) With regard to playoff tickets, if we become 1/4 share partner would we be getting one in every 4 games for the playoffs 3)If in any given year if the Jets get knocked out of the playoffs early (only two home games) would the share partners who didn't get tickets that year be the first people in line to get playoff tickets in the subsequent year. We are looking forward to hearing back from you so that we can start the process to talk directly about the tickets. Alison
  • Great to hear: 1) Yes, Snake Draft as the best practice. We actually got lucky last year where the 3-4 groups had such little overlap or conflicts for the schedule that we didn't have to do a snake draft. But that's a rarity. After the draft and during the season, when people naturally encounter conflicts (trips, weddings etc), there is a healthy attitude on trading to make it work for everyone (Ie swapping games when able). Just have to ask because you never know. 2) Yes, you would be 1 of 4 possible "Home" games during the playoffs. Pick order or preference for this season coming up can be discussed or generated by "drawing straws" so to speak. We have no existing deference/order to any of the current share partners. 3) Of course. We've never had to worry about that in the past as everyone got a game or didn't care/was availible, but if we ever got bad luck in the first rounds, there would be deference to the party that didn't get tickets the next year.

Are you still looking for a share partner for these tickets? My husband and I are potentially interested in these.
  • Yes actually. I was already logged into this Share Partner Portal hoping to have more inquiries. Perhaps meant to be... As mentioned in the listing we are a very open/casual group and have around 1/2->2/3 of the season committed (no games yet chosen) and want to fill a partner/group that decided not to renew about halfway through last season. The group is: Father and Son Duo for about 1/4 of the Season (8-11 Games) Cousin & Their Engineering Business for 1/4 of the Season (10-11 Games) Corporate Colleague for 5--7 Games Rest Open I made a Jets Schedule in Excel recently so the group could start putting down game preferences. Thank you - Don McKenzie

Not sure how your draft works, but I am more interested in weekday games. Or, are all games put in the draft? Thanks
  • Hi, We are a very easy going group so what we do it put all the games on the Home Schedule, send it out to everyone participating and everyone gives a tentative list of the 11-14 (1/4 or 1/3) or so games they wish to go to. Last year ended up with only 4 games with "conflicts" and we ended up scrapping a traditional "draft" and had a quick 5 minute call to change/swap games. in a year with more overlap in people's picks, we would meet physically or digitally, assign a random "pick" order, and then go around the circle until all the games were picked. Often, people trade or swap games as they discover they have social conflicts etc. Happy to discuss more.

Hello, for this season I’m only looking for a single seat for a 1/4 of the season, would you be open to that offer? Thanks.
  • Hi, sorry for the delay. At this time, we are looking to find partners who want a pair of tickets vs singles, as our share partners are father/son, or couples. Thanks
